Dr. Nelson sees patients in our Fairmont, Spencer, Estherville and Sheldon clinics – he puts a lot of miles on his vehicle each year! Dr. Nelson graduated with distinction from the University of Iowa with a Bachelor of Arts degree in both Speech and Hearing Science and Linguistics. He obtained his doctorate in audiology from the University of North Texas. Dr. Nelson and his sister, Dr. Catherine Grange, took over their father’s audiology practice, which now includes seven clinics in Iowa and Minnesota. Dr. Nelson is a fellow of the Academy of Doctors of Audiology, a member of the Iowa Hearing Association and Tinnitus Practitioners Association.
Dr. Nelson is entering his eighth year as an audiologist. He is originally from Ruthven, IA and now lives in Spencer with his wife, Heather, and three young children, Cameron (8), Harper (4) and Emma (8 months). He keeps very busy with family life, but in his free time he loves to play the guitar, roast his own coffee beans (he’s a coffee connoisseur!) and stay active in his church.
